I met these guys through my friend Patrick Bensen who’s a drummer for this talented band Ben Ripani Music Co. It was cool to be asked to shoot their new CD cover and it was something I’ve never done before so I thought I’d give it a try. After showing up and setting up some lighting, I find out I only had a 1/2 hour to do the photoshoot! All things considered, I think we did alright given the time we had. San Francisco Post-Wedding Session | Mary & Nick

Mary & Nick are two really special people to us. We shot their beautiful wedding in Sycamore, IL about 3 months ago. They moved back into the Oakland area for Nick’s job. They showed us where they lived and we got a chance to hang out in Oakland. We ended off with an awesome meal at Triple Rock on the Berkeley Campus. Check out their samples!

A big thanks to Mike Fan and Jimmy Tan for their help in a collaboration with Secondprint Productions, D Network Chicago and Latin Webzine for this top secret photoshoot. Details of the photoshoot will be disclosed at a later time. Here are some rough, unedited teasers to wet your appetite. Things got pretty steamy from this shoot. Let’s just say it wasn’t a wardrobe malfunction. More soon!

The Crown and Two Chairmen @ Subterranean

I had the honor of shooting video for my friend’s band, The Crown and Two Chairmen last night at Subterranean. The show just ROCKED. Check out a sample from my 5dmk2 with the new firmware shooting at 24p. Video quality sucked because it was mad dark inside and I had to compress a 4gb video to 200mb. The new audio level adjustments for the built in mic worked perfectly for this concert. It was sooooo loud my ears are still ringing and it’s currently 10hours after the show. Check them out!

These guys were troopers. It was supposed to be 50 degrees out but the fabulous wind chill made it almost unbearable at times. We still had an awesome time getting some photos done.

Here’s a quick glimpse into what goes on at 3sixteen – a company that a good friend of mine started several years ago. The work ethic that both Andrew and Johan have is what drives and inspires me. Video was shot by another friend of mine, Dan’s wife Sarah Krusen.

Kapo & John | Engaged!!!

Argh!!! I love it. It’s finally here! The end of the year is finally upon us and I only have two weddings left!
