It was an honor to be asked by a my friend Daryl to shoot his small, intimate wedding in Waikiki, Honolulu Hawaii. This would be my second time there within 3 months. I love my job!! Capturing Ana and Daryl’s wedding made me realize that destination weddings are absolutely the best way to get married. Royal Caribbean Cruise Wedding | Vicky + Rich

Last month, I had the privilege of shooting Vicky and Rich’s wedding aboard Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas Cruise ship – the biggest cruise liner in the world. We ported in Fort Lauderdale and began our journey to the eastern Caribbean islands of Nassau Bahamas, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas. I had such an amazing time and it was truly a blessing to spend the week with some dear friends. I’m gonna have to do this again at least once a year! What an amazing year it’s already been! 2012 started off with a beautiful trip to Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of Oahu to shoot Kelly and Jamie’s wedding. Being that it was my first time in Hawaii, I had to bring my wife with me to enjoy the beautiful destination. Our wedding day started off with preparations at their hotel in the popular Waikiki area, followed by a picturesque wedding chapel at the beautiful Paradise Cove Resort. We ended the perfect day at the brand new Disney Aulani Resort for their reception. Enjoy some samples from their wedding!

Royal Caribbean Cruise Destination Wedding Photography | Cyn + Monk

Dear friends of mine Cynthia and Stephen (aka Monkey) got married on Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas Cruise ship and invited me along for this week long trip to the Grand Caymen Island and Cozumel. I’ve only been on a cruise one other time and I had a miserable experience because the ship was only half the size of this one and I get really seasick. This trip was completely different. It was an amazing week with old friends and new ones, bingo, gambling and feasting. As a result, I got a renewed vigor for cruise ship vacations. I loved it! Thanks Cyn and Monk for an awesome week away! Enjoy some of the samples from the wedding on the boat. I’d love to hear your comments.

Mary & Nick are two really special people to us. We shot their beautiful wedding in Sycamore, IL about 3 months ago. They moved back into the Oakland area for Nick’s job. They showed us where they lived and we got a chance to hang out in Oakland. We ended off with an awesome meal at Triple Rock on the Berkeley Campus. Check out their samples!

The fog rolled in and got us really worried that we wouldn’t be able to get the shots but I think it actually inspired me even more to use the light/surroundings to our advantage. What an honor to be here in San Francisco to shoot a wedding for my new friends Candice and Michael. We went all around the Bay area and shot some beautiful pics for them. Mike and I are completely amazed at how well the sun shines here. The elevation and beauty of the landscapes make this city my second favorite city in the world.
