How much are your packages? Do you shoot other types of events besides weddings?
Your basic wedding investment begins at $3000. Yes, I also cover events of all sorts so please use the “contact” page and ask me about other types of photography services. These include engagement, fashion/editorial, corporate, commercial, maternity, babies, concerts etc. I’m always up to a challenge.
Where are you located?
I am located in the heart of Chicago, more specifically in the near south side. I was born a city boy and raised here all my life. I love it here. I think living in the city allows me to be street smart and gives me the ability to know most of Chicago’s city neighborhoods and their nuances. I also have the flexibility to travel in all directions quickly via the expressways.
Do you charge travel fees within the Greater Chicagoland area?
NO, there are no travel fees for events within a 50 mile radius of Chicago. Traveling outside of the 50 mile range may incur some travel fees. Destination events that require flight and hotel stay will be covered by the client.
Do you shoot formals?
Yes, unless I am told otherwise. Typically, I spend no more than 15-30 minutes just after the ceremony and photograph immediate families. In addition, I will photograph quick formal groupings of the bridal parties. I’d rather spend more time on our creative portrait session and story-book photojournalism. Spending less time with formals gives us more time to capture real moments on your special day.
What is your turnover rate? When can I expect to see my photos?
Wedding coverage during the summer months will have a 6-8 week wait time for initial proofing. Weddings in the spring and fall will take approximately 4-6 weeks. Other types of photography services will be completed upon the agreed time.
How many photos do you take?
The beauty of shooting digitally is that your coverage isn’t limited by the # of photos. Rather, it is determined by the time it takes to accurately tell a story of your day. I recommend starting your coverage from the beginning of your wedding day and into the dancing of your reception.
Do you provide high-resolution digital files?
Yes, all of my packages include digital files released to you for personal use (i.e. printing, blogging etc).
Do you provide online proofing?
Yes, all packages include online proofing, slideshow, and print purchasing from our pro lab. This is a convenient way to share your photos with your friends and family. In addition to traditional prints, my lab offers fantastic items like canvas wraps and holiday/thank you cards.
What will I need to do to book you?
First, contact me about availability via the “contact” form on this site. Secondly, we can meet for a consultation and begin the booking process. Lastly, a binding contract is required to reserve your date along with a 25% retainer. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event.
Do we need to feed you?
It is kindly suggested that you provide a meal for myself and the 2nd photographer. We don’t actually request to sit with your guests but will feel honored if you invite us to. We always keep an eye open for action during the dinner activities and have actually worked 100% through a full dinner setup. Keeping us close to the action allows for an easier transition from our dinner break to shooting on the fly.
Can I recommend other vendors? (videographers/coordinators/floral/DJ’s/venues)
Yes, feel free to ask me about other vendors. Over the years of shooting, I’ve created a list of preferred vendors that I’ve enjoyed working with that I know and trust to provide the best experience for your event. If I don’t already have them linked on my site, I can probably get you in touch with them.
